General marketing education

Fola Startup courses are general marketing education for founders, marketers and teams. They teach a process and the reasoning behind it. They are written for a general audience and cannot take your product, market, customers, budget, legal situation or company stage into account.

They are not:

  • consulting, coaching or a done-for-you service: nobody at Fola Startup reviews your company, your analytics, your advertising accounts or your campaigns, and nobody gives you individual recommendations;
  • legal advice: lessons that mention privacy, consent, email or advertising rules (for example CAN-SPAM, GDPR or LGPD) give general awareness only. Ask a qualified lawyer how the law applies to you;
  • tax, accounting, financial or investment advice: unit economics, budgets and payback examples are teaching tools, not advice on how to run or fund your company.

No promised results

We do not promise any revenue, profit, growth rate, number of customers, conversion rate, cost per acquisition, return on advertising spend or funding outcome. Marketing results depend on your product, your market, your timing, your budget, your execution and many factors outside anyone's control. Most experiments fail; the courses teach you to run them cheaply and learn from them, not to avoid failure.

Examples and figures

The companies in our worked examples are fictional and their numbers are round, illustrative figures chosen to make the arithmetic easy to follow. They are not case studies, benchmarks, averages or forecasts, and you should not compare your own results with them. We do not publish client logos, testimonials or success stories.

Advertising budgets

Paid advertising can lose money. Only spend what your business can afford to lose while you learn, set daily and total budget limits in every platform, and check your spend regularly. The decision to advertise, and how much to spend, is always yours.

Third-party platforms change

Advertising networks, email providers, analytics tools and app stores change their interfaces, names, prices and policies often. A lesson may describe a feature that has since moved or changed. Always follow the platform's current documentation and terms. We have no partnership with, and are not endorsed by, Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Stripe or any other company we mention; their names belong to their owners.

Your responsibility

You decide whether and how to apply what you learn. You are responsible for your business decisions and for making sure your marketing complies with the law and the rules of the platforms you use, including consumer protection, advertising standards, privacy and consent rules. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses resulting from the way you use the material. Nothing in this notice limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or consumer rights under articles 12 to 27 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
